Biography

Cumbia Pedregal are a Mexican cumbia band formed by the brothers Emilio Zepeda Cabrera, José Pablo Zepeda Cabrera, and Luis Eduardo “Luche” Zepeda Cabrera, grandchildren of the legendary actress and singer María Victoria and sons of music director Rubén Zepeda. Growing up surrounded by music, the brothers began performing together in 2019, developing a style that merges classic romantic cumbia with modern Latin pop sensibilities. Their early digital releases, including “La Cosecha de Mujeres” (2019) and “Dame un Besito” (2021), established them on regional playlists, while a series of 2023 singles—among them cumbia versions of “Ella Baila Sola,” “Tacones Rojos,” and “No Se Va”—helped expand their online audience. In 2024 they released 8 Canciones, a small collection signaling a transition from covers to original compositions. The group’s breakout moment arrived in 2025 with a trio of singles—“De Gritar Te Amo,” “Que Se Pudra el Amor,” and “Tu Nunca Lo Sabrás (Versión Cumbia)” featuring Daphne Michelle—which gained traction on streaming platforms and solidified their presence within Mexico’s new-generation cumbia scene.
