Grupo Ensamble is a Mexican cumbia sonidera outfit founded by Veracruz bandleader MartÃn Olvera Luna, who began performing locally around 2000, formally launched the project in 2001, and later coined its signature banner âEl Ritmo Sabroso del Ensambleâ in 2005 to fuse tropical cumbia with a distinctly veracruzano swing. After Olveraâs passing in 2020, direction passed to his son Salvador Olvera RÃos, who has continued the groupâs studio and touring work. Early catalog markers include the retrospective set Nuestros Inicios (2018) and the live album El Ritmo Sabroso del Grupo Ensamble (En Vivo en Deportivo LÃ¡zaro CÃ¡rdenas) (2020), which set the stage for their breakout cycle built around the viral favorite âTus Jefes No Me Quierenâ and the full-length Tus Jefes No Me Quieren. LlegÃ³ la Cumbia (2021). The streaming era broadened their footprint with Cumbia para Enamorar, Tomar y Olvidar (2022) and Sonideras, Cumbia y Puro Destrampe (2022), while 2023 brought additional studio sets (Al Ritmo del Tigre; CumbiatÃ³n: Cumbias que Hicieron Historia) that kept their sound in circulation across Mexico and U.S. ballrooms. In 2024 the band issued the album Y AsÃ Vas a Seguir and refreshed their signature with two high-visibility singles: âTus Jefes No Me Quieren (Remix)ââa collaboration with electrocumbia hitmaker Raymixâand âNo Se Dice (Cumbia),â which they also showcased live with O3G; that same year regional press spotlighted their single âLa Probaditaâ amid a busy tour itinerary. Momentum carried into 2025 through a cluster of releases on Hyphy MÃºsica, including âLa Pollera Coloradaâ with Arturo Carbajal, âNo Te Cae el Veinte,â and the collaboration âHistoria de Amorâ with Sonido Famosoâsignaling a tighter bridge between the live sonidero circuit and their studio output while sustaining the âÂ¡sÃ seÃ±or!â call-and-response that defines their shows.
