Biography
Hailing from Querétaro, Grupo Bohemio formed in 2020 with an original lineup of five musicians and has since grown into an eight-piece ensemble featuring David Mendiola (drums/vocals), ElÃas Fadda (percussion), Emilio Lara (guitar/2nd vocals), Jorge Ledezma (bass), José Francisco Salazar (bajo quinto), José Carlos Vázquez (keyboard/3rd vocals), Julio César Chávez (accordion), and Leonardo Peña (lead vocals). They spent the early years refining their sound in regional venues and on social media, breaking through in 2024 when Musicâ¯VIP Entertainmentâthe leading label in the Regional Mexican marketânoted their online presence and signed them, launching them into major events as opening act for Grupo Firme. The bandâs 2024â2025 singlesââ¿A Poco Ya Se Te Olvidó?â, âRegresa,â âNo Se Dio,â and notably âWEEKNDâ (released May 2025 under Music VIP)âhave topped digital platform playlists, sparked dance trends, and earned them cover-feature status on several playlists. Alongside tracks like âGalaxiaâ and âDebajo Del Agua,â released in 2025, and their live album Posada Bohemia (En Vivo) recorded in late 2024, Grupo Bohemio has quickly established themselves as a force to be reckoned with in contemporary Regional Mexican music.
