Originally from Chile, Cristian Vogel grew up in the West Midlands and has always been fascinated by music. After some rewarding experiences in several local hardcore bands, he enrolled at university to study 20th-century music.
In '92, through Dave Clarke's Magnetic North label, he released his first ep. By the mid-90s, he was working with the Tresor and Mille Plateaux labels, where he released a large number of records that gradually won acclaim from the press. In 95, he set up his own label, Mosquito, which was soon joined by a management company called No Future. In 97, he decided to distance himself from techno by forming "Super Collider" with his Brighton colleague Jamie Lidell. This album received a great deal of media support. After "Absolute Time" in '95, "Specific Momentific" in '96 and "All Music Come To an End" in '97, he moved on. At the end of the '90s, he moved into a new studio in Brighton and signed with the Novamute label for new electronic adventures: "Busca Invisibles" in '99 and "Rescate 137" in 2000. As time went on, his music took on a strange intensity. In early 2001, he began work on the new Super Collider album.
