Cripple Bastards, a grindcore band from Asti, Italy, was formed in 1988 by vocalist Giulio the Bastard and guitarist Alberto the Crippler. Initially known as Grimcorpses, they transitioned to their current name and style after feeling dissatisfied with their early music. The band's debut full-length album, Your Lies In Check, was released in 1996, marking a significant milestone in their career. Notable releases include Misantropo a Senso Unico (2000), which was ranked at number 6 on Terrorizerâs list of essential European grindcore albums, and Desperately Insensitive (2003). Cripple Bastards have performed over 300 shows, including tours in Europe and the US, and festivals such as Obscene Extreme and Maryland Deathfest. The band has shared stages with notable acts like Napalm Death, Dismember, and Suffocation. Giulio the Bastard has remained a constant member, while other personnel changes have occurred throughout their career.
