Biography

Cody Parks and The Dirty South is an American country-rock band formed in 2019 by Nashville-based singer/songwriter Cody Parks, known for blending Southern country storytelling with hard-rock and metal influences in a style they often call “country metal.” Drawing inspiration from classic country alongside bands like Mötley Crüe and Pantera, the group built momentum through singles such as "The Other Side" (2019), "Seminole Wind" (2019), "Girls and Gasoline" (2020), "Dirt I’m From" (2021), and "Redneck Rich" (2022). Their profile grew further with the covers EP Smothered & Covered (2023), which charted on iTunes, followed by the EP Country Metal, Vol. 1 (2024), featuring original material that solidified their reputation for fusing heavy riffs with modern country themes.
