Singer-songwriter Clémentine Colette, aka Clemix, was born in Baudour, Belgium, on February 5, 1976. Her musical training included conservatory, private piano lessons and jazz training. She took her first steps on the electro scene under the name DJ Clemix in 2000, where she remained until 2020. She has co-authored, composed and performed in various bands, including Technical Hip, Clemix Soundshaker, Hands Up Boys, Panda Royal, Nasty Candy & Coco Lipstick. In 2017, she released her first solo EP, Discobar, under the name Clemix. The first single, "Discobar", reaches 10,000 views. She mixes French chanson, hip-hop, electro and disco-punk to her heart's content, recounting her disillusioned, uninhibited love stories with humor and self-mockery. This ep led to her being selected for Le Franc'Off at the Francofolies de Spa, and to a performance at the Francofaune festival in Brussels. She was noticed by the Canadians and went on to perform at festivals in Ottawa and Montreal, as well as in Switzerland in 2019, as part of the Voix de Fête festival. 2020 sees the release of her second EP, Non Merci, and a single with DJ Uniper, Démarre . In 2021, she re-released tracks from her previous EPs in acoustic, piano-vocal versions, and in 2022, released " C'est pas d'l'amour ". Her creativity led to her selection for the C'est Dans l'Air international incubator in Montreal in 2022.
