Austrian entertainer, party singer, and pop singer Lorenz Büffel was born Stefan Scheichel-Gierten on May 29, 1979, in Krems an der Donau. He began his career in the early 2000s under his real name, Stefan Scheichel, as a radio host and entertainer at a vacation club in Senegal. Back in Germany, he initially focused on his career as a comedian and made his stage debut at Mega-Park Mallorca, where he subsequently began performing as a singer as well. He celebrated his big breakthrough with the single âJohnny Däppâ in 2016. Lorenz Büffel was awarded a platinum certification for the song, which ranks among the best-selling German-language pop hits. With additional schlager hits such as âWir sind wieder daâ by Lorenz Büffel & Ikke Hüftgold (2018), âDer heiÃe Michaâ by Lorenz Büffel & HONK! (2020), and âEin Lied für diese Weltâ by Lorenz Büffel & Anna-Maria Zimmermann (2021), Scheichel-Gierten no longer makes it onto the charts, but continues to perform in Mallorca and other European countries. In July 2026, Lorenz Büffel released his debut album, Hier kommt der Büffelmann. With it, the party singer reached No. 15 on the German charts.
