Biography
A regular presence in Portugalâs music reality show circuit, Cláudia Rafaela Teixeira Pascoal (October 12, 1994), better known as Cláudia Pascoal, jumped into the spotlight representing her country at the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest. Hailing from Gondomar, Pascoal began playing guitar at the age of 15 and had her first TV appearance on the talent show Ãdolos in 2010. Three years later, she became a contestant on the first season of Factor X and competed on Ãdolos once again in 2015. Her big breakthrough came two years later, when she participated on the fifth season of The Voice of Portugal, finishing up in 6th place. Subsequently, Pascoal secured a triumph at 2018âs Festival da Canção with the song âO Jardim,â and had the chance to represent Portugal at the 63rd edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, held in Lisbon. Despite making it to the finals, the song didnât impress the judges and ended up in 26th place. In 2019, she dropped the singles âTer e Não Terâ and âViver,â featuring Samuel Uria, both of which were included in her 2020 studio debut, ! Preceded by the aforementioned singles, the LP entered the Portuguese Albums Chart at Number 6 and spawned two more singles, âEspalha Brasasâ and âQuase Dança.â
