claquepot is a Japanese singer-songwriter and producer known for his sophisticated fusion of hip-hop, R&B, soul, and contemporary pop. Blending smooth grooves, urban-inspired production, and emotionally nuanced songwriting, he has established a distinctive musical identity that bridges the worlds of modern pop and alternative R&B. His sound is characterized by polished arrangements, infectious melodies, and a refined sense of rhythm that has earned him a dedicated following across Japan. claquepot began releasing music in 2019 with the single âMusunde,â quickly attracting attention for his unique artistic vision and self-produced approach. In 2021, he collaborated with Rung Hyang and Taichi Mukai on the EP PARK, whose title track later received a remix from renowned producer Taku Takahashi. His creative momentum continued with the release of his first full-length album, the test, in 2022, featuring guest appearances from Novel Core and Shunichi Tanabe, alongside contributions from acclaimed musicians Shin Sakiura and Nenashi. The albumâs success led to headline performances at Zepp venues in Osaka and Yokohama, while subsequent releases further expanded his audience. Following the recruitment (2023) EP package and a sold-out performance at Zepp Shinjuku, claquepot continued his rise with major tours and arena appearances. The concept EP â a collaborative work with trackmaker Umi Kinami, Career, was released on June 17, 2026.
