Christopher Page, born April 8, 1952, in the United Kingdom, is a musicologist and performer specializing in medieval music. He began his career as a research fellow at Jesus College, Oxford. He earned his PhD from the University of York in 1981 and founded Gothic Voices, an early music vocal ensemble that recorded extensively for Hyperion Records and performed internationally, including regular concerts at London's Wigmore Hall. He was also a presenter on BBC Radio 3âs Spirit of the Age from 1989 to 1997. Page's contributions have been recognized through numerous awards, including the Nicholas Bessaraboff prize in 2017 for his work, The Guitar in Tudor England.
