Biography

A Norwegian pianist and composer born in 1971, Christian WallumrÃ¸d worked with the trio Close Erase (1996-2006) and on a number of local jazz productions before forming his own groups, the Christian WallumrÃ¸d Trio, author of the album No Birch (1998), and the Christian WallumrÃ¸d Ensemble, which recorded the albums Sofienberg Variations (2001), A Year from Easter (2004) and The Zoo Is Far (2007) for the ECM label. The Ensemble welcomes new members on the following albums Fabula Suite Lugano (2009) and Outstairs (2013).
