Charlotte Poland, born Jessica Charlotte Poland in Wall Township, New Jersey, is an American singer-songwriter. She began her music career at age 14 by playing guitar and writing songs. In 2006, Poland started performing with a five-piece band called J. Poland and The Pilots around the New Brunswick area. By 2008, she signed to Geffen Records under the stage name Charlotte Sometimes and released her debut album Waves and the Both of Us, which peaked at number 145 on the Billboard 200 and number 3 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers chart. The single "How I Could Just Kill a Man" was featured on the Warped Tour 2008 compilation. In 2014, Poland retired her Charlotte Sometimes stage name to focus on the new project LACES.
