Biography
Born on October 23, 1990 in Incheon, South Korea, indie-rock balladeer Cha Jung-won (a.k.a. Car, the garden) began life as Mayson the Soul, releasing his Jackasoul EP debut in 2013, but has operated under his current moniker since 2016. Infusing his songwriting with hip-hop, R&B and orchestral elements, Jung-won initiated his ascent to homegrown musical stardom after coming first place in an audition program by South Koren TV/radio network SBS. He released his Photographer album in 2015 and the 2017 follow-up, Apartment, which featured a guest appearance from indie favorite Sunwoo Jung-A on âLost 2". In 2019, Jung-won released third album C.
