Biography

Canton Jones, born Canton Dorrelle Jones on January 9, 1977, in Deerfield Beach, Florida, is an American Christian rapper. He began singing at five, later writing and producing for friends before moving to Atlanta, where he joined Morehouse College’s Glee Club and performed at the 1996 Olympic Games opening ceremony. In 2001 he founded CAJO International and released his debut 20 Years, 3 Months & 12 Days (2002). His major‑label debut Love Jones (2005) peaked at number 11 on Billboard’s Top Gospel Albums; the re‑issued The Password: Access Granted earned two Grammy nominations. Subsequent releases include Kingdom Business (2008), its sequels (2009–2012), Dominionaire (2011), They Stole My Computer series (2024), Letters to Myself (2024), Jesus and Money (2025), and single "PRAISE ON GO" (2026). He issued the mixtape Lust, Drugs, and Gospel (2014) and received the ABGMA Soca and Urban/R&B/Pop Award in 2021.
