Bye Bye Sea, or Annyeongbada in Korean, formed in 2006 as an indie band "I Cross the Sea With You" in Hongdae, Seoul. The group renamed to Bye Bye Sea (Annyeongbada) in May 2007 and signed with Fluxus Music in March 2008. They debuted officially in December 2009 with their EP Boy's Universe. Prior to this, they made cameos on TV dramas such as I Am Legend and Playful Kiss. Bye Bye Sea gained significant attention with the song "Star Shower", which became a staple in various TV programs. Their discography includes albums like City Complex (2010), Pink Revolution (2012), and Good Night (2016). Kim Seon-gook, known as Namu, has also worked as a music director, notably for the film "Song of the Same Night" which won multiple awards. The band has performed at notable rock festivals such as Green Plugged Festival and Pentaport Rock Festival. The single "My Dream Is Monochrome," released on March 18, 2025, entered Melon's Top 500 Melon domestic chart at rank 3 the same day.
