Brit Taylor (born in Hindman, Kentucky) is an American country singer-songwriter. She gained recognition for performing on local Opry stages before relocating to Nashville in 2007 to study at Middle Tennessee State University. Following the conclusion of a publishing contract in 2018, Taylor established a cleaning business and performed on Broadway to fund her recording career. She established her own label, Cut A Shine Records, and collaborated with Dan Auerbach on songs including "Back in the Fire". Her debut studio album, Real Me (2020), reached number 37 on the AMA/CDX Radio Chart. In 2023, she released the album Kentucky Blue, produced by Sturgill Simpson and David R. Ferguson. Taylor established a reputation for a sound blending Appalachian traditions with contemporary country. Her career included collaborations with Mike and the Moonpies.
