Brendan Pollard is a UK electronic musician and synthesist from Hertfordshire, acclaimed for his deep, analogue-driven soundscapes. Rooted in the Berlin School tradition pioneered by Tangerine Dream and Klaus Schulze, his music blends hypnotic sequencer patterns with lush Mellotron textures and expansive atmospheres. He first came to prominence with the duo Rogue Element in the early 2000s before moving into a prolific solo career. His early albums, including Expansion (2005) and Flux Echoes (2007), established him as a leading voice in modern progressive electronic music. Since then, he has released numerous solo works and collaborative projects, including the celebrated Pollard/Daniel/Booth series and the three-volume Collection of rare and archival material. He has continued to evolve his sound over the years with albums such as the Isolated Passages trilogy (2020â22), Prologue, Cycles and Pulses, and The Coils Suite in 2025.
