Brendan Maclean, born on December 27, 1987 in Australia, is a singer known for his work in indie pop. His debut EP White Canvas was released in January 2010. In February 2014, he released his second EP Population, produced by Paul Mac, which included the lead single "Stupid" that gained significant attention when featured on BuzzFeed and Welcome to Night Vale. Following this release, Maclean signed with Universal Music Publishing Group. His subsequent EPs include Thought I'd Cry for You Forever (May 2015), which featured a collaboration with Neil Gaiman, and funbang1 (July 2016). In addition to his music career, Maclean has also acted in various productions including Baz Luhrmann's adaptation of The Great Gatsby, the ABC Television comedy Fucking Adelaide, and the musical Jekyll & Hyde: The Musical.
