Biography

Bowfire, a Canadian musical group from Ontario, was formed in June 2000 by violinist and composer Lenny Solomon. The ensemble debuted at Expo 2000 in Hannover, Germany, and quickly gained attention for its eclectic mix of classical music, jazz, bluegrass, Celtic music, rock music, and world music. In 2001, they performed in New York City and embarked on a U.S. tour during the 2002–2003 season. Their self-titled debut album Bowfire was released in 2003, followed by an Asian debut in Taiwan later that year. Bowfire continued to tour internationally until 2015. Notable compositions include "Fiddler in the Hood" and covers such as Led Zeppelin's "Kashmir".
