Bongjeingan (Korean: 봉제인간) is a South Korean indie rock band formed in 2022. The band consists of Chiyoonhae (a member of Parasol and Sultan of the Disco), Lim Hyeonje (a member of Hyukoh), and Jeon Iljoon (a member of Kiha & The Faces), making them a supergroup within the Korean indie music scene. Their formation began by chance when the members accidentally joined an ensemble, and they officially debuted in May 2022 while supporting a concert for Hyodo & Bass. Shortly after their formation, Bongjeingan gained attention by performing at major music festivals, including the Pentaport Rock Festival and the DMZ Peace Train Music Festival. Their unique sound, blending indie rock and math rock, quickly earned them a dedicated following. In December 2022, they released a two-track single featuring "Gaekkum" and "Good", with the latter receiving a music video. Critics praised their fresh and dynamic approach to songwriting. In 2023, Bongjeingan released their first full-length studio album, 12 Languages (12가지 말들), further establishing their presence in the indie scene. With their genre-bending music and the combined experience of their seasoned members, Bongjeingan continues to captivate listeners and push the boundaries of Korean indie rock.
