Biography
6band, formed in 2019 in Korea, is a Korean indie rock duo comprised of Yook Joongwan and Kang Joonwoo, both former members of the disbanded band Rose Motel in 2018. After eight years with Rose Motel, they started fresh and released their first EP, First Story of 6B, in 2019, including pure and earnest charm. The duo gained recognition through their performances on the music variety show Immortal Songs and contributed to OSTs for dramas like Private Lives and The Killerâs Shopping List. In summer 2020, they released Busan, a retro album embracing the trend, exploring various musical styles. They also continued engaging with listeners through heartfelt songs such as "I'm Not Going to Seoul" (2020), "The Great Actor Kim Kwang Kyu" (2022), and "Seoul Pigeon" (2022). Their single "FIGHTER," released on September 10, 2025, debuted at number 6 on Melonâs Top 500 chart on its release day.
