Biography

Blind Petition, a hard rock band from Austria, was founded in 1974 in Vienna by guitarists Hannes "Fusel" Bartsch and Georg Martikan. The band's first concert took place in 1975, and their first planned LP was completed in 1977 but could not be released due to financial constraints. Blind Petition gained early recognition with their first single "Blind Petition" in 1980, though they were also notably disqualified from the Popodrom due to drunkenness the same year. In the following years, they released several albums including Tschingo Bingo Live (1986), Welcome to Win (1987), and Perversum Maximum (1988). The band has also toured with international acts like Motörhead and Black Sabbath. In 2007, Blind Petition released Bloody Reunion, followed by Law & Order in 2014. Hannes "Fusel" Bartsch passed away in 2021.
