Biography

Blair Bryant is an American smooth jazz bassist, composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist from Kansas City, Missouri. He is known for his deep, melodic five-string bass playing, with Stanley Clarke-style funk accents and jazz fusion influences. He began recording in his early twenties and has charted several singles in the American smooth jazz charts. Accompanying numerous musicians including Najee and Norman Brown, Blair Bryant has also released solo albums New Colours (2015), Gold (2016), Cerulean Blues (2018) and Red Tiger (2022). Following the release of the single "Float", a hit on music platforms in 2024, the bassist achieved further success with "Silk and Suede", charting at No. 30 on the Smooth Jazz Airplay Top 30 in early 2026.
