Biography
Blackbriar, a Dutch alternative metal/gothic rock band, was formed on August 1st, 2012 in Assen, Netherlands. The group initially released their first single "Ready to Kill" in May 2014 and followed it with the EP Fractured Fairytales in May 2017. Blackbriar's breakthrough came with their debut album The Cause of Shipwreck, released in April 2021, which received positive reviews from critics. The band gained significant recognition when they were invited to support Epica on their tour commemorating the tenth anniversary of Design Your Universe in October 2019 and performed at AFAS Live in Amsterdam that same year. In November 2022, Blackbriar signed with Nuclear Blast Records. Their second album, A Dark Euphony, was released in September 2023, and followed by A Thousand Little Deaths in August 2025.
