Biography
Amberian Dawn is a Finnish symphonic power metal, speed metal, and neoclassical metal ensemble formed in 2006 by Tuomas Seppälä (guitar, keyboards) and Tommi Kuri (bass). The group performed with singer Heidi Parviainen and released its debut studio album, River of Tuoni, in 2008, which reached number 36 on the Finnish charts. The band performed as an opening act for Epica in 2008. Its discography included the recordings The Clouds of Northland Thunder (2009) and End of Eden (2010), the last recording with Tommi Kuri, who died in 2015. In 2012, Amberian Dawn released the album Circus Black (2012), which featured the track âCold Kissâ. Päivi "Capri" Virkkunen joined the group as lead vocalist in December 2012. After signing with Napalm Records, the band recorded the albums Magic Forest (2014), Innuendo (2015), Darkness of Eternity (2017), and Looking for You (2020). The ensemble released the ABBA tribute recording Take a Chance in 2022. In 2026, Nicole Willerton joined as lead singer for the recording Temptation's Gates.
