Biography
Amberian Dawn is a Finnish symphonic power metal, speed metal, and neoclassical metal ensemble formed in 2006 by Tuomas Seppälä and Tommi Kuri. The group performed with singer Heidi Parviainen and released its debut studio album, River of Tuoni, in 2008, which reached number 36 on the Finnish charts. The band performed as an opening act for Epica in 2008. Its discography included the recordings The Clouds of Northland Thunder (2009), End of Eden (2010), and Circus Black (2012), which featured the track âCold Kissâ. Päivi Virkkunen joined the group as lead vocalist in 2012. Subsequent recordings included Magic Forest (2014), Innuendo (2015), and Darkness of Eternity (2017). The ensemble released the ABBA tribute recording Take a Chance in 2022. In 2026, Nicole Willerton joined as lead singer for the recording Temptation's Gates. Kuri died on January 1, 2015.
