Blackâ¯Helium are a Londonâbased psychârock powerhouse known for their searing blend of vintage protoâpunk grit, trippier spaceârock atmospheres, and heavy stoner grooves. Formed in their current lineup in 2016, the trio features Stuartâ¯Gray (vocals/guitar), Beckâ¯Harvey (bass/vocals), and Diogoâ¯Gomes (drums)âthough theyâve had a revolving cast of drummers throughout their history. Recorded in London, Primitive Fuck (2018)âtheir debut LPâcaptured raw, glamâstoner energy with thick, psychâheavy riffs. The band's second album, The Wholly Other (2020), was a liveâinâstudio affair at Bear Bites Horse with engineer Wayneâ¯Adams, while third album Um (2023), released on Riot Season, pushed their psychedelia deeper. They returned in 2025 with fourth album The Animals Are Coming.
