Jimmy Hinson, known professionally as Big Giant Circles, is an American musician and composer specializing in IDM, chiptune, electronic, and ambient music. He began his career by submitting video game music remixes to OverClocked ReMix under the name Big Giant Circles. His breakthrough came with contributions to notable video game soundtracks such as Borderlands 2, Threes!, and There Came an Echo. Hinson's work has been praised by industry figures like Daniel Floyd of Extra Credits and Anthony and Ashly Burch of Hey Ash, Whatcha Playin'?, as well as positive press from outlets like Kotaku and GameTrailers. His independent album debut was Impostor Nostalgia in 2011, followed by The Glory Days in 2014, which was funded through Kickstarter. A remix album, The Glory Days Remixed, was released later that year. More recently, one of his songs for There Came an Echo was reused as thematic music in the second season of the Netflix series Stranger Things.
