JUD, a US rock band formed in 1995, was founded by David Judson Clemmons following his departure from the progressive rock band Damn the Machine. Clemmons' vision for JUD was to create a raw and unrestricted musical project. With the help of producer Ross Robinson and friends Steve Cordrey and Hoss Wright, they recorded a demo and embarked on tours across the USA and Europe. Their debut album Something Better was released in 1996, followed by Innermission (1997), Chasing California (1998), and The Perfect Life (2001). The band's active years saw numerous performances and side projects from its members, leading to their disbandment in 2001. JUD reunited in 2008 with the album Sufferboy that year, followed by Generation Vulture in 2016.
