Ingo Martens, known professionally as Azzido Da Bass, was born on August 29, 1971, in Germany. As a producer and DJ based in Hamburg, Martens began his musical journey with influences ranging from hip hop to electronic music. He started his career as a DJ in 1996 under the name Azzido Da Bass, securing his first professional job in Hamburg the following year. By 2000, he had transitioned into producing original music after meeting producer/songwriter Stevo Wilcken. Their collaboration resulted in "Dooms Night", which gained significant traction internationally, reaching number 8 on the UK Singles Chart in 2000. The duo continued to produce hits like "Speed (Can You Feel It?)" in 2002 "Strobelightz" (feat. Digitalism) in 2005, and "Dooms Night" in 2008. They founded the independent record label Luscious Sound in 2005. Azzido Da Bass' music has been featured in various media outlets, including several American and European commercials and the movie soundtrack to Angeled. His work has also been recognized at major events such as the MTV Music Awards in 2000. Throughout his career, Azzido Da Bass has continued to produce a mix of original songs and remixes, collaborating with various artists and maintaining a significant presence in the electronic music scene.
