Ayumu Imazu, born Ayumu Imazu on 12â¯Mayâ¯2000 in Yao, Osaka, is a Japanese Jâpop singerâsongwriter who began dancing at six and later trained at EXPG Osaka. He first gained national attention in Februaryâ¯2021 when "Sukkur" on Japanese TVâs BUZZâP highlighted him as a ânextâbreakâ Zâgeneration artist. Ayumu Imazuâs first EP, Epiphany, released 19â¯Februaryâ¯2020, was followed by Waves on 18â¯Septemberâ¯2020, setting the stage for his official debut single "Juice" on 13â¯Augustâ¯2021. Ayumu Imazu issued the full album Pixel on 10â¯Augustâ¯2022, adding a digital single "Sunshower" that served as the opening theme for the drama Eternal Yesterday. Collaborations include "Don't Mind Me" with Sota Hanamura (31â¯Marchâ¯2023) and "Obsessed (feat. MAX)" (5â¯Aprilâ¯2024). Ayumu Imazu's single "Obsessed" earned the 66th âSparkling! Japan Record Awardsâ Special Planning Award on 30â¯Decemberâ¯2023. Ayumu Imazu signed with Universal Music Japan/Capitol Records in Marchâ¯2026, announced a partnership with BMSG on 28â¯Februaryâ¯2026, and released the CLASSIC album on 13â¯Mayâ¯2026.
