Biography

Kiro Akiyama, born on 11 March 1996 in Utsunomiya, Tochigi, is a Japanese singer‑songwriter who began playing bass after being inspired by the anime K-On! in junior high. He wrote his first original track during his first year of high school and began releasing music online via YouTube and SoundCloud in 2017, quickly gaining attention. In 2019, he released the single "Cracker Shadow" and his debut mini‑album Hello My Shoes, which was distributed nationally through BUG TYPE RECORDS. The same year he signed with Epic Records Japan, and on 4 March 2019 he debuted his first full‑length album From DROPOUT. Subsequent releases include the singles "Drown in Twinkle", "Toukounohate", and "Night Dancer" (2021), the EP FIZZY POP SYNDROME, and the albums ONE MORE SHABON (2022) and Quest (scheduled 12 November 2025). Akiyama’s tracks have appeared as themes for television dramas and anime, notably "Identity" for The Promised Neverland season two, and "SKETCH" for My Hero Academia season six. His live career includes nationwide solo tours such as the Ikki Ichiyu TOUR series and the MY COLOR acoustic tour. The 5th album, Magic if was released on March 11, 2026.
