Biography

Ãyonn Groven Myhren, born on August 8, 1969, in Oslo, Norway, is a Norwegian folk musician and singer. She received her musical training at the Ole Bull Academy in Voss. Myhren's career began with a focus on traditional folk music, including flute and lyre playing. In 1997, she released Harpa with the medieval group Aurora Borealis. Her breakthrough came in 2002 with the album Nivelkinn, a collaboration with Odd Nordstoga for the Telemark festival, which won the Spellemannprisen award in the folk music category. She continued to release solo albums like Akkedoria frÃ¥ Christiania (2004) and collaborated on projects such as SÃ¥ vide fara dei Lindarord with Anne Hytta in 2017, which was nominated for the Spellemannprisen.
