Biography

Avraham Fried, born Abraham Shabbsaï HaCohen Friedman on March 22, 1959 in the United States of America, is an Orthodox Jewish American singer. Encouraged by Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, Fried began his music career with the release of his first album No Jew Will Be Left Behind in 1981. He collaborated extensively with Sheya Mendlowitz and Yossi Green on eight albums, producing notable hits such as "Aderaba" and "Tanya". In 2009, he toured Israel, introducing Israeli singer Chanan Yovel. Fried's music integrates pop, rock, and jazz with Jewish themes, often including cantor-style songs and Yiddish lyrics. He has appeared in several charity concerts, notably the annual A Time for Music HASC concert to benefit Hebrew Academy for Special Children.
