Biography

Audrey Auld-Mezera (1964–2015), born Audrey Auld, was an Australian country singer-songwriter from Hobart, Tasmania. Auld-Mezera released eleven albums on her Reckless Records label, beginning with the collaboration Looking Back to See (1998) with Bill Chambers. Her solo recording The Fallen (2000) received an ARIA Music Award nomination for Best Country Album. Auld-Mezera recorded with musicians including Mary Gauthier, Dale Watson, and Kasey Chambers. Her songs appeared on television programs including Justified, Longmire, and NCIS: New Orleans. Between 2007 and 2013, she conducted songwriting workshops for inmates at San Quentin Prison. Her discography included Losing Faith (2003), Texas (2004), Come Find Me (2011), and Hey Warden (2014). Auld-Mezera died of cancer in Stinson Beach, California, on August 9, 2015.
