Biography
Attacker, an American heavy metal band from New Jersey, was founded in 1983 as Warloc by Mike Sabatini on drums, Pat Marnelli, and Dominic Spina on guitars. The group quickly added Brian Bob Mitchell as vocalist before releasing their first demo under the new name Attacker in 1984. Their breakthrough came when Metal Blade Records included "(Call On) The Attacker" on their Metal Massacre series, leading to a record deal. The band's debut album, Battle at Helm's Deep, was released in 1985 and received positive reviews despite limited commercial success. After releasing The Second Coming in 1988, the group broke up in 1989 due to internal issues and a lack of label support. In 2004, Attacker reunited with a new lineup and released Soul Taker, followed by The Unknown in 2006. The band continued touring and releasing albums, including Giants of Canaan in 2013.
