Biography

Asmodeus X, an American electro-industrial band, was founded in 1999 by Paul Fredric and Brad Marshal in Houston, Texas. The duo had previously been members of Morphine Angel, a goth band formed in Lincoln, Nebraska. Their music was characterized by thoughtful lyrics and a dark, neo-classical sound. Their live debut was held at Instant Karma on February 26, 2000. Their breakthrough came with the album Wolf Age (2002), which featured rich programming and extensive use of environmental sound samples. The band's subsequent albums included Morningstar (2004), The Bright Ones (2012), and Dark Ides of Summer (2018). Asmodeus X won several awards, including Best Album for Sanctuary (2007) at the Revolutions Music Awards in 2009.
