Arthur Lee Porter Jr., born August 3, 1961, in Little Rock, Arkansas, was an American jazz saxophonist. He started his musical career at age nine as a drummer with his father's band and later transitioned to saxophone. In the mid-1980s, he moved to Chicago, studied under Von Freeman, and performed with Pharoah Sanders and Jack McDuff. During the 1990s, he signed with Verve Forecast Records and PolyGram, releasing albums including Pocket City (1992), Straight to The Point (1993), Undercover (1994) and Lay Your Hands on Me (1996). He performed "Amazing Grace" with his father at President Bill Clinton's 1993 inauguration. Arthur Lee Porter Jr. drowned in a boating accident in Thailand on November 23, 1996. The compilation album For Art's Sake was released posthumously in 1998.
