Biography

Ark Noir, a jazz group from Munich, Germany, was formed in December 2015 by saxophonist Moritz Stahl and bassist Robin Jermer. The band initially played fusion jazz as a quartet with drummer Marco Dufner and guitarist Tilman Brandl before expanding to a quintet with the addition of keyboardist Sam Hylton in 2016. Their debut album, Tunnel Visions, was released in 2019 under Enja Records and featured collaborations with singer Hannah Weiss and electro artist Ralph Heidel. Ark Noir's second album, See You on the Other Side, was released in April 2022.
