Biography

ARCHIS is the collaboration between singer‑songwriter Dia Frampton and composer Joseph Trapanese. Frampton, formerly of Meg & Dia and runner-up on The Voice Season 1, joined Trapanese to create cinematic pop music. They released the self-titled ARCHIS EP on February 23, 2015, through Nettwerk, featuring six tracks, including the lead single “Blood.” The project blends Frampton’s ethereal vocals with Trapanese’s orchestral arrangements, incorporating strings, horns, and layered production. ARCHIS marked a departure from Frampton’s alternative rock background, exploring more electronic and symphonic textures. Though the duo did not release a full-length album, the EP received praise for its emotive songwriting, haunting atmosphere, and polished production, highlighting the seamless integration of cinematic composition with pop sensibilities.
