Biography

Aoki Takamasa, born in Osaka, Japan in 1976, is a Japanese electronic musician and producer. He began his musical journey at the age of 17, experimenting with acoustic guitar, bass, and drums on a four-track cassette recorder. In 2001, Aoki Takamasa released his debut album Silicom through Progressive Form, an independent Japanese label. Over the next few years, he released several more albums, including collaborations with Tujiko Noriko, notably the album 28. In 2004, Aoki Takamasa relocated to France and later to Berlin, releasing albums such as Parabolica (2006) and Private Party (2008). He returned to Japan in 2011 and based his career in Osaka. Notable collaborations include work with the band Sakanaction, co-writing songs like "Inori" and "Structure", and performing at events organized by NF Records. Aoki Takamasa's album RV8 (2013) marked his first charting release in Japan.
