Anne Mette Iversen, born Anne Iversen on March 15, 1972, in Aarhus, Denmark, is a bassist and composer. She began her musical education at the cathedral school in her hometown, followed by studies in classical piano at the Copenhagen Conservatory from 1992 to 1994. Iversen then transitioned to the bass, studying under Bo Stief and Niels Henning Ãrsted Pedersen at the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen from 1995 to 1998. She completed a Bachelor's degree in Jazz Performance at The New School in New York City in 2001. Iversen has since led her own groups within the Brooklyn Jazz Underground, collaborating with notable artists such as Aki Takase and Ingrid Jensen. Her discography includes albums like On the Other Side/PÃ¥ den anden side (2004), This Is My House (2006), and Invincible Nimbus (2018).
