Anitas Livs, a Swedish world music band, was formed in 1987 by Anita Livstrand, who had already been involved with various bands since the 1970s and released her solo album Mötet in 1978. The original lineup of Anitas Livs included Livstrand, Lise-Lotte Norelius, and Marianne Nâlemvo. The band was also known for its unique sound, which featured percussion and folkloric singing styles like Joik, often incorporating sampling technology through digital percussion instruments. In 1992, Monica Aslund replaced N'lemvo but left the group after recording two albums, Ugh! (1993) and Wild World Web (1995), both released under Slask Records. Anitas Livs performed in Germany during the 1990s but became inactive in 2001.
