Andreas Brantelid, born on October 8, 1987, is a Swedish-Danish cellist. At 14, he made his concerto debut performing Edward Elgar's "Cello Concerto" with the Royal Danish Orchestra. In 2006, he won the Eurovision Young Musicians contest representing Sweden, and the following year he was named DR Kunstner 2007 Artist of the Year. In 2009, he received the Danish Crown Prince Couple's Culture Prize. From 2012 to 2015, he was a âJunge Wildeâ artist at the Konzerthaus Dortmund. Brantelid's albums include Cello Concertos (2008), The Music for Cello & Piano (2017), and English Cello Works (2026).
