Biography

Andrea Marcovicci, born Andrea Louisa Marcovicci on November 18, 1948, in Manhattan, New York, is an American actress and singer renowned for her interpretations of classic popular songs. After deciding to pursue singing over acting, she appeared on television shows such as The Mike Douglas Show and The Merv Griffin Show. Her first album, Marcovicci Sings Movies, was released in 1987. Throughout the 1990s, she continued to release albums including I'll Be Seeing You: Love Songs of World War II (1991), Just Kern (1992), and Always Irving Berlin (1995). Marcovicci has received several awards, including the Mabel Mercer Foundation’s 2007 Mabel Award. She celebrated her 22nd season at the Oak Room of the Algonquin Hotel with a concert in 2008 and released As Time Goes By: The Best of Andrea Marcovicci to commemorate her 60th birthday in 2009.
