Alte Bekannte is a German a cappella band that was founded in 2017 and is considered the successor to the well-known Wise Guys. The band consists of Daniel "Dän" Dickopf, Björn Sterzenbach, Clemens Schmuck, Ingo Wolfgarten and Friedemann Petter. Daniel Dickopf and Björn Sterzenbach are former members of the Wise Guys. Alte Bekannte's genre includes humorous and thoughtful a cappella music with creative and honest lyrics. Their debut album Wir sind da! (2017) reached number 23 in the German album charts. This is followed by the albums Das Leben ist schön (2019, number 9) and Bunte Socken (2020, number 14). In 2023, the band released their fourth album Stabil. In addition to humorous songs, the band offers profound pieces that deal with social and personal issues. The group's live performances delight fans throughout Germany and beyond. At the end of 2024, Alte Bekannte release the Christmas album Weihnachten kommt immer so plötzlich.
