Born on December 4, 1977 in Sherbrooke (Canada), Alexandre Poulin is a Quebec folk singer. He worked as a French teacher before releasing his first untitled album in 2008, with the songs " La Prière " and " Un bout de temps ", heard on radio stations across Quebec. In 2010, following the release of his follow-up album Une Lumière Allumée, his tour took him from Quebec to New Brunswick, and on to France. In October 2013, Le Mouvement des Marées was co-produced with Ghyslain Luc Lavigne and Mathieu Perreault. A year later, the song " Comme des enfants en cavale ", taken from it, topped the Quebec radio charts. His fourth album Les Temps Sauvages (2016) includes the track " Nos cÅurs qui battent ", which also achieves success. Alexandre Poulin returned three years later with Nature Humaine , placing the song " Contrebande " in the top 10 of Quebec's music charts. He also composes for numerous artists, including Les 2Frères, France d'Amour, King Melrose and Petula Clark. His song " L'Ãcrivain " is taught in Quebec elementary and high schools. After his acoustic version of "Love Is Gone " in 2021, the Quebec singer unveils the first singles from his 6th studio album La Somme des Ãtres Aimés, "Jolie Françoise" and "Mauvais sang", in 2023.
