Age of Love, an ItalianâBelgian electronic music project, was formed in 1990 by Bruno Sanchioni and Giuseppe Cherchia, known professionally as Pino d'Angiò. The duo, who were also collaborators with Emmanuel Top under the name Brainwave, began their work at Diki Studio in Mouscron, Belgium. Their debut release, The Age of Love, a mini-CD (mcd) released on March 19, 1990, marked their breakthrough moment and is considered one of the earliest trance music projects. The maxi vinyls featured tracks like "The Age Of Love (Radio Version)" and "The Age Of Love (Flying Mix)", which were influential in shaping the early years of trance music. Age of Love's work was remixed by Jam & Spoon in 1992, leading to increased popularity with tracks such as Watch Out For Stella (Club Mix). The original track and its remixes became staples for techno and trance enthusiasts. Throughout the 1990s and beyond, Age of Love continued to release various remixes and compilations, including The Age Of Love (Remixes) in 1997 and subsequent releases like The Age Of Love (Solomun Renaissance Remix Edit) in 2017 and "The Age Of Love (Charlotte de Witte & Enrico Sangiuliano Remix)" in 2022. The project's impact is evident through its numerous remixes and appearances on compilations, with Discogs listing over 87 versions and 346 compilation appearances as of August 2013.
