Åevval Sam, born Türkdeniz Åevval Sam on November 11, 1973, in Istanbul, Turkey, is a singer and actress. She is the daughter of Turkish singer Leman Sam and studied graphic design at Marmara University in Istanbul. Her music career began with the release of her debut album Sek in December 2006. Following this, she released several albums including Karadeniz (June 2008), Has Arabesk (June 2010), and II Tek (August 2012). Sam has also acted in various films and television series, including Martılar ve Istanbul (2002), Siyah Beyaz (2010), and the TV series Yasak Elma (2018-2023). Her contributions to Turkish music have been recognized with multiple awards, including the Kral Türkiye Müzik Award for Best Turkish Folk Singer in 2009.
