Action Pact, a punk rock band from London, was formed in 1981 by guitarist Wild Planet, bassist Kim Igoe, singer George Cheex, and drummer Joe Fungus. Initially known as Bad Samaritans, they changed their name to Action Pact in 1981 with the addition of singer Alison Charles, known as George Cheex. They contributed two songs to the EP, The Heathrow Touchdown E.P., which was released in 1981, featuring "London Bouncers" and "All Purpose Action Footwear", which caught the attention of BBC Radio 1 DJ John Peel. The band's EP, Suicide Bag, was released in 1982 by Fall Out Records and reached number 6 on the UK Indie singles chart. The group disbanded in 1986, with Wild Planet (Des Stanley) passing away from cancer in early 2016.
